HACDA is an all-volunteer, non-profit, CDSS affiliate dance organization formed in the summer of 1999, whose primary mission is to maintain traditional American folk dancing (Contra and Traditional Squares) in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area.

HACDA is the successor to the Locust Lane Contra Dance, which was started in 1991 by Joan Bare as a monthly dance series.  We now have two dances a month, on the second and fourth Fridays, year-round.

We are always looking for volunteers to serve on the board. Please contact us if you are interested in assisting with the dance as a volunteer or board member. We are currently in need of people to volunteer for the following positions:
